The Allure of the L0re

In days of old when the sun slipped below the horizon, family and friends would come together to congregate around the hearth fire and tell each other stories.

For centuries oral tradition and the art of storytelling was the way we made sense of our strange, mysterious and sometimes dangerous world. Our history, our hopes, our fears and our community were defined by the stories we told to one another.  In today’s technological world of smart phones, social media and internet memes we seem to have a greater knowledge of far-away people and places than we have of our own communities.  

Ghost Lore is a community sourced research project with a goal to record and document local legends, strange stories, historical hauntings and fantastic folklore. If you live, have lived, in or around Waynesboro, PA and you have a story to tell, please take the time to submit your story to our project.  Once we have a sizable collection of great local lore, we are committed to sharing those stories right here in our community in the form of live storytelling events and spoken word audio recordings.
